Pakphum “Nanu” Youttananukorn is an artist, designer and maker. His work encompasses functional art, furniture pieces and installations, all predominantly made out of wood, and investigates the intentions, traditions and mythologies embedded within the pre-existing objects and places. Having graduated from the London College of Communication in 2007, Nanu worked as a graphic designer for several years before enrolling on a Master’s programme in social design at Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands. He now lives in Bangkok, where he runs a woodworking studio and teaches in the International Program in Design and Architecture at Chulalongkorn University. Nanu is involved in various design collaborations both locally and internationally, most recently in Spain and Hungary. He is also a co-founder of the Grains and Grams design collective and the Rocket Trail project, as well as a member of the Fictional Collective network.
