Taho Bench by Selena Placino
Selena Placino is an industrial designer who graduated with distinction from De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde in Manila. She has collaborated with many brands, such as The Walt Disney Company, KENNETHCOBONPUE, Desall and Chicco. She has also participated in several design challenges, including the Polli Green Concept Award 2021, the HAY Talent Award Asia 2020 and Chicco’s It’s Teething Time! competition, where she won First Place for her Forest Friends teether collection. Selena believes that good design can make a difference in people’s lives. Her designs range from furniture to consumer goods, and she is always on the lookout for new materials and technologies to incorporate into them, constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible. Finding opportunities to inject interactive and cultural elements into her creations, Selena designs products that are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing.
